In 2008 two hovercraft were built by two past winning teams of three in only 10 hours from scrap, for TVs Scrapheap Challenge. Both craft had to carry three people and cross water and land and be the fastest to win.This was the finale of the successful Television series . Both craft are on loan to the museum from Pioneer Productions.
